CISCO / DESIGN ENGINEERING

Designing and shipping
UX improvements.

Two focused code contributions in Control Hub: improving AI source disclosure and bringing Agentic Apps earlier in the navigation.

MY CONTRIBUTION

UX design / implementation / delivery

DELIVERY

Two merged PRs

RELEASE

Sources update released / navigation release not documented

01 / SOURCES DISCLOSURE

Make AI evidence
easier to find.

Control Hub research with 11 admins and partners found that participants missed the sources control or did not recognize it as clickable.

I redesigned and implemented the control as an underlined Sources link with a count and expand/collapse chevron. Source cards remain connected to the answer they support.

I handled implementation, review feedback, testing, and the development cycle through merge and release. The recording shows the behavior in both themes.

The change was released. Follow-up evidence of improved discoverability or trust has not yet been established.

Page six of the Control Hub AI Assistant user test: the original Sources button, a participant who did not notice it, and findings explaining why admins needed more visible evidence behind AI answers.
Before — page six of the user test documented that participants missed the original Sources control or did not recognize it as clickable. This user evidence prompted the interaction improvement shown below. Select the image to view at full size.
After — the redesigned and implemented Sources interaction, demonstrated in light and dark themes. Silent recording.
03 / DELIVERY & VALIDATION

Bringing user feedback
directly into product.

Across these two changes, I connected UX decisions with implementation in an existing enterprise codebase, worked through review feedback, and completed the required delivery process.

Sources disclosure

Implemented, reviewed, tested, merged, and released.

Agentic Apps ordering

Implemented and merged through required checks. Release timing is not documented here.

Internal PR conversations and repository details are omitted. The product behavior and a written delivery summary provide the evidence.

04 / IMPACT & NEXT STEPS

Two code contributions.
Specific UX problems.

Two implemented changes, two merged PRs, and one explicitly confirmed release.

Those are delivery measures. User impact still needs follow-up validation: whether admins find and open sources more successfully, and whether the navigation change improves discovery of Agentic Apps.

My next planned implementation work is in Developer Portal. Explore the platform strategy
